Where Can I Get Glasses With My DVA Card?

It is an absolute honour to provide eye care to those who serve or have served in the defence of our nation and provide eye care through the Department of Veterans Affairs that recognises their service and sacrifice. Carina's parents are refugees from the Vietnam War who were warmly welcomed into Australia in the early 1980s, and they are forever grateful for the opportunity to be re-born into his amazing country.

Owning a GOLD or WHITE Health Card from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) means that you are entitled to receiving complimentary glasses every two years.

This will include either:

  • One pair of bifocal, trifocal or multifocal glasses

  • One pair of reading AND one pair of distance glasses.

  • All eye examinations with Carina Eye Care are directly billed to DVA electronically.

  • A wide selection of frames is available to choose from, and if your needs are more specific then you are able to pay a co-payment on the frames and/or lenses that are out of the offered DVA range.

I will do my best to find a solution that fits within the DVA offering. If you'd like to find out whether you are eligible for glasses, feel free to contact me.

Carina Eye Care stocks a wide variety of frames that fit within the DVA range, and access to high quality optical lenses to be fitted to appropriate optical frames.
