Where Can I Donate My Old Glasses?

“I don’t want to see them go to waste!”
“I hope someone else can get some use out of these.”
These are just some of the reasons people are searching for options:
- Spexcycle is a new initiative run by a few friends of mine that is the first closed-loop recycling program for glasses, transforming waste into resources. They also have a manufacturing facility in Sydney's Inner West to create new frames out of the old frames. I have a collection bin at my practice, so feel free to bring your old glasses along for disposal.
- Lions Recycle for Sight - find your local Lions Club to see if they have collection points (You can contact them here - http://lionsclubs.org.au/contact/ )
Or you can send your glasses (and hearing aids) to: Reply Paid 3021 Lions Recycle for Sight PO Box 3021 CLONTARF MDC 4019Please note if you choose to send your glasses to this address, please remove them from any cases they may be in. A little bubble wrap or a padded bag is all you need.

Thanks for thinking of the environment, and also for those who are in need!
If you want to find glasses that are super durable and will last at least a decade, you can consider frames such as the OVVO range which are made from Surgical Grade Stainless Steel.
