This enables her to keep up to date with the latest and greatest in contact lens technology so that she can better serve her patients to provide them with comfortable and clear vision.

MiyoSmart Lenses

MiyoSmart is a special spectacle lens that is designed to treat children who are progressing in their myopia (short-sightedness). Information from the manufacturer can be found here. It is the first ever spectacle lens created with Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (D.I.M.S.) Technology for children to treat myopia progression. It is also the first spectacle lens that has shown to be equally effective as orthokeratology and MiSight 1 Day contact lenses in slowing down myopia.

Orthokeratology

OrthoK is a type of contact lens treatment where hard contact lenses are worn at night only, to gently mold the front surface of the eyes into a shape that refocuses light so that patients can see without the need for glasses or contact lenses during the day time.

Does Orthokeratology hurt?

Book an appointment to measure your prescription and assess eye health. If suitable, proceed with an orthokeratology package with varying costs based on prescription strength and myopia control needs. A 50% deposit is required for lens manufacturing. Additional expenses include lens care and eye care products for the duration. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled once lenses are ready.
